Ozone

About Ozone

Ozone (O³) is a molecule made up of three oxygen atoms. It is formed when the two oxygen atoms (O²) decompose and join another oxygen atom forming ozone (O³).

Ozone in both air and water is a powerful disinfectant, bactericide, virulicide and fungicide.

The main applications of ozone are for disinfection, environment deodorization, and treatment and water purification. With this, the elimination of pathogenic microorganisms and bad odors is achieved.

 

Some studies show that it clears more than 99% of viruses in just 20 seconds.

There is no data yet to certify that it eliminates Covid-19, but we do know that ozone penetrates the cell membrane and that coronaviruses are sensitive to oxidizing agents and, therefore, we can assume with the scientific evidence available to date , that the virus will be damaged and will be destroyed.

Ozone acts thanks to its oxidising power and the only waste it generates is oxygen. That is why it is safe and perfect for disinfecting food and / or surfaces and washing clothes. The oxidation process is due to the composition of negative charges that ozone has. But negative charges are strongly attracted by positive charges, present in pathogenic microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, spores, odour molecules ...). When they collide with each other, both charges are destroyed and therefore the ozone loses an oxygen atom, leaving the oxygen molecule O2 as a residual.
